Jodie Marsh does a very bad job with her make-up for a night at the Ivy

By Marcus Barnes

Time to face facts: Jodie Marsh sported a harsh make-up job for a night out at the Ivy restaurant in London

A few weeks ago Jodie Marsh unveiled her ultra-buff new body that she has quietly been working on over the last few months.

The general reaction to the pictures was one of disgust, though she also got a pat on the back from some observers.

Nevertheless, last night, the attention was placed firmly on Jodie's face rather than her body as she stepped out at the Ivy restaurant sporting an awful make-up job.

Undercover: The former glamour model wore a chic, fitted black dress with matching heels and handbag for her evening out in the west end

With her buffed up physique hidden away under a chic black dress, the former glamour model could have maintained a demure image on her night out.

Instead she appeared to have applied her make-up with a trowel, sporting bright red lipstick and heavy black eyeliner together with a rather pale foundation.

With the three elements combined, and Miss Marsh pulling a series of oddball faces, it made for quite a sight.

Clowning around: Jodie's make-up job took the attention away from her muscular frame

A shame, because the all-black dress/heels ensemble looked great on her.

After the Ivy, Jodie headed over to Stringfellows for some post-dinner entertainment courtesy of the strip clubs exotic dancers.

The 32-year-old has been back in the limelight since unveiling her ridiculously bulky body, which she has been entering into bodybuilding competitions.

Speaking to Heat magazine this week, Jodie explained that she has been training as a body builder with her coach Tim for three years.

Chic and unique: The 32-year-old leaves Stringfellows in London's Covent Garden area

She insisted that it wasn't a bid for attention or fame, stressing: 'No, this is where people get me so wrong.

'When I was at school I wanted to be a vet or a lawyer, I didn’t want to be famous.'

'I got bullied at school for being ugly and that is why I wanted to be a model because I thought I could prove to the bullies and to myself that I wasn’t ugly. It is not attention seeking.'

Happy with her image: Jodie insists she's content with how she now looks having originally become a model to beat her childhood bullies

The new direction her career has taken has clearly given her a huge confidence boost.

'I feel proud when I look in the mirror. I still can’t believe it’s my body. Like, when I look at my abs, I’m just like, f****** hell, I love it so much! I’m the prettiest I’ve ever looked,' Jodie enthused.

Naturally aware that the muscular look isn't to everyone's taste, Jodie continued: 'If you’re not in the bodybuilding world it is scary, but to me it’s normal. I think I still look really feminine.'

Jodie explained that she achieved her astonishing physique thanks to a high protein diet during training.

Put it away Jodie! Muscular Marsh can't stop flaunting her bulked up body

By Andrea Magrath

Classy: Jodie Marsh couldn't resists showing off her new body again for photographers, even unzipping her trousers, today in London

Jodie Marsh's extraordinary transformation had most of the nation picking up their jaws from the floor last week.

But after near-constant coverage of her bodybuilder figure, the 32-year-old's tireless self promotion is perhaps becoming a little too much.

Jodie felt the need to lift up her top and flash photographers her impressive abs as she left a radio interview in London tonight.

Miss Marsh ensured no pedestrians missed the celebrity in their presence by wearing blinding pink shiny trousers, which she then unzipped to give the full effect of her six-pack and tattoo.

She wore the garish trousers with a black turtleneck, which was demure until she pulled it up to just beneath her breasts for the cameras.

Her hair and make-up were as over-the-top as ever, with lashings of mascara and a high ponytail bouffant.

Jodie appeared on Nick Grimshaw's BBC radio show after a week of endless television and magazine interviews about her complete makeover.

Eye catching: The bodybuilder ensured she couldn't be missed in shiny pink trousers

Speaking to Heat magazine this week, Jodie explained that she has been training as a body builder with her coach Tim for three years.

Self promotion: The 32-year-old was in central London to appear on BBC1

Transformation: Jodie said in an interview this week that she felt 'pretty and feminine'

'It has totally changed my life, doing this. My self-esteem is higher, my confidence is higher, I feel more secure, feel powerful – I almost feel invincible,' Jodie gushes.

'I do feel a bit like Superwoman' she adds. 'Now every single person around me is jealous of my body.'

The ex-model also describes how she had suffered bullying at school about her nose, and was called 'Michael Jackson' by other children who teased her about how 'big and gross' it looked.

Though she had surgery at 15, Jodie confesses that she probably still bears the scars of those early taunts.

She told The Sun: 'I have never attracted so much interest from blokes in my life.

It's been a real eye-opener. For the last two years I went through a complete drought of men.

'No one was chatting me up. I despaired of ever having a boyfriend, or even a date, again. But since I became a bodybuilder, I've suddenly got about 50 guys interested in me.'

Jodie, who has dated stars including Fran Cosgrave and Kian Egan, as well as experimenting with the same sex in a brief lesbian phase, added to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning today that she has already picked up a few phone numbers from her first championship.

Nice guns! Jodie said despite negative criticism of her body, she absolutely 'adores' it

She said: 'I'm single but the bodybuilding men are gorgeous. When you walk into a bodybuilding show you don't know where to look.

'There are these gorgeous men with the best bodies you have ever seen in your life. I took about 5 phone numbers!'

Jodie, who has slimmed down from a size 12 to a tiny size six, and from nine-and-a-half stone to eight stone, also said she is still in disbelief that she has managed to alter her figure so radically.

She said: 'It is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life and also the best thing. I feel amazing. I'm buzzing every day. I can't believe its my body.

Buff: While Jodie has been bodybuilding for three years, she was given just eight weeks to get into shape for the championship competition

Posing up: Jodie filmed a segment for the show displaying her figure before her interview

'Even when i look at pictures of myself, I think, "Is that really my stomach?" '

But it's not been an easy journey for the former Celebrity Big Brother star, who revealed she eats 15 egg whites and seven protein shakes a day - cutting carbohydrates out of her diet entirely.

Jodie also has to push herself in the gym every singe day in order to maintain her new muscular physique.

'When you're on stage, you have to do the compulsory poses and then you have to do a routine to music.

'The posing is harder than any weight training in the gym because you have to hold it for so long and have to tense every single muscle at the same time.'

Jodie's transformation into a bodybuilder has been documented for DMAX show Jodie Marsh: Bodybuilder, due to premiere in January 2012, but the Essex-born star insists she would have gone down the bodybuilding route with or without the TV cameras.

She said: 'The whole thing was for a television show but I wanted to do this anyway.

My trainer Tim Sharp approached me 3 years ago and said that he could get me fit.

'All along he said to me that I should do a competition. He's been competing for 20 years and he said I would love the buzz.

'I've been bodybuilding for three years but I was given 8 weeks to get into shape for the competition. So I had to lose a stone of fat and get ripped for this competition.'

Winner: Jodie came in fifth position in the Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships

Jodie debuted her new physique at the Natural Physique Association (NPA) Mike Williams Classic and Pro-Am Bodybuilding Championships last month.

And Jodie took the opportunity during her interview on This Morning today to deny that her new figure is down to chemical assistance.

Asked if she had taken any drugs to get into shape, Jodie said: 'Absolutely not and for the TV show I had to be polygraph tested and drugs tested.

'All of these shows are natural bodybuilding shows. If you get caught on drugs then you are banned for life and you're not allowed to compete.

'My body is 100 per cent natural and I'm proud of that, because I could have gone down the steroid route but I wouldn't want to.'

Transformed: Jodie has been working with personal trainer Tim Sharp to achieve her new body, and seen right how she used to look in 2003

Strict: The glamour model has been sticking to an intense diet and exercise regime to get in shape for the contest

Jodie, who has to don incredibly dark bodybuilding tan for her competitions, also said the pictures of her on stage aren't accurate in terms of how she looks in real life.

She said: 'In pictures you can't tell how big someone is and in those I look like some 16-stone beast of a man.

'But I'm just toned, I'm a size six, eight stone, 5ft 2. You can see that I'm not huge.'

Jodie's new body, honed by personal trainer Tim Sharp, saw her come in fifth position in the world-famous championships in Sheffield.

Working it: Jodie says she has never felt better than she does now after working to get into shape

Jodie Marsh shows off her toned abs, copious body art and full face of makeup in barely-there bizarre gym ensemble

By Daily Mail Reporter

Tat's not too nice: Jodie Marsh showed off her toned abs and her copious tattoos in a bizarre ensemble as she headed to the gym earlier today

Her fashion sense has always been ridiculously outlandish and it seems that even a trip to the gym provides the perfect opportunity to show off her unusual style.

And as Jodie Marsh made her way to a workout she was seen showing off her incredibly toned figure and her elaborate body art which covers nearly her entire body.

Jodie, 32, donned a tiny crop top over a normal black bra and a pair of baggy grey sweat pants for the gym session and she teamed the trousers, which barely covered her bottom, with a pair of black legwarmers.

And while Jodie might have been ready to work up a sweat she had clearly put considerable time and effort into her appearance sporting a full face of makeup including foundation, bronzer, blusher, eyeliner, eyeshadow and lipstick.

She had pulled her hair into a large scruffy bun for the trip to her local gym in Essex.

Jodie, who tried to carve a career as a bodybuilder in 2009 and 2010, carried her purse in her hand and a packet of Marlboro light cigarettes for a post-workout puff.

Looking trim: Jodie donned a tiny crop top and a pair of baggy grey sweat pants for the gym session, teaming the trousers, which barely covered her bottom, with a pair of black legwarmers

The former glamour model was also wearing a pink silicone Power Balance band, a training tool worn by many sports stars which claims to boost training performance though there is no scientific evidence to back up the claims.

Yesterday it emerged that Jodie’s former husband Matt Peacock was dating Big Brother contestant Louise Cliffe, despite her claims she was single.

Covered: The 32-year-old not only showed off her figure but also showed off her copious body art

The club promoter, who married Jodie at Sugar Hut for a TV show in 2007, tweeted that he had a nice letter from Louise before she went into the house.

He posted: ‘lovely little letter left for me from @cliffe1 your gonna do mint babe everyones backing you! :O)’ (sic)
